Billy has gone on to receive additional tattoos from other companies (27 and counting), moving him closer to his goal of having the most tattoo advertisements in the Guinness Book of World Records.

HP presented its offer on Monday morning in the form of a letter to 3PAR President and CEO David Scott.

Shane Robison, HP’s Executive VP and Chief Strategy and Technology Officer said in a letter that the new offer forces 3PAR’s board of directors to reconsider its  previous merger agreement with Dell.

3PAR has yet to comment about the offer and an announcement is expected to be made soon.

The California data center is located in San Jose and includes 69,700 rentable square feet and is 100 percent leased. DLR only announced that the tenant is a “major telecommunications company,” however sources say that Verizon is currently operating from that address.

The second data center is located in Richardson, Texas. The data center features over 56,000 rentable square feet and is fully leased as well. Digital Realty said the data center is a primary switch faciliy for the southwest region for “another major telecommunications company,” which is apparently AT&T Wireless.

The two acquisitions further DLR’s ongoing initiative to acquire income properties.

In the last couple of weeks WHIR TV has published quite a few video interviews shot at HostingCon 2010, held in late July in Austin, Texas.

But, along with the sit-down interviews, we gathered some interesting footage from the exhibit hall, in which WHIR editor in chief Liam Eagle met up with some of the exhibitors to talk about their products and their plans from the show.

I meet a lot of Web-based startups and ISVs every month. Many of them ask questions about the world of hosting including: what really happens behind the scenes in monitoring, managing and billing large polls of customers? Another common question is “That is such a competitive industry how do you grow and keep churn low”. There is no better way for you as a hoster to help answer these questions and foster a strong tie between these two communities than to bring them to one of the WHIR events. The next two are in Denver (August 26th) and Phoenix (September 23rd).

Living in Boston affords me the opportunity to attend events geared to local Internet companies, startups, Web professionals and software developers on an almost nightly basis. As I meet these passionate and motivated individuals I often think about how the hosting industry is a key component to their success. Whether it be because we power their SaaS business (and subsequently we are a major component of their budget) or because we have the volume of businesses and technical professionals as customers which they can tap into.
